Mr. Bernal suffered a broken foot at the NXT Level Up taping on June 4, and spent the month deciding whether or not to undergo an operation.

In a series of tweets, Mr. Bernal thanked the WWE and his medical team, including Dr. Waldrop and the staff at Birmingham, Ala.-based Andrews Sports Medicine.

It was the WWE star’s first-ever orthopedic surgery, according to the report.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
