Keyser, W.Va.-based Potomac Valley Hospital has expanded its orthopedic services to include total ankle replacement surgery.

The procedures will be performed by Sherif Dabash, MD, who joined the hospital in 2023, according to an Oct. 13 system news release.

He works alongside orthopedic surgeon Hamed Vahedikafshgari, MD, to provide a broad range of services, including partial and total joint replacements, ligament reconstructions and arthroscopic procedures.

In 2024, the hospital was designated an Orthopedic Center of Excellence by The Joint Commission.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
