To earn the distinction from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia, United Hospital Center had to demonstrate expertise in hip and knee replacements with low complication rates.

The recognition is significant in north central West Virginia, given the area’s volume of surgeries, according to UHC Vice President of Quality Mark Povroznik, PharmD.
