Virtua Health becomes region’s largest orthopedic provider with acquisition

Marlton, N.J.-based Virtua Health’s Virtua Medical Group has added Moorestown, N.J.-based Reconstructive Orthopedics and its 300-plus employees, including 90 clinicians, making Virtua the largest orthopedic provider in Southern New Jersey, according to a July 20 report from roi-nj.com.

Virtua originally announced its intention to acquire the practice in April. Virtua operates five acute-care hospitals, 38 ASCs and 350 other locations with more than 1,000 physicians. 

Virtua Orthopedics has 100 orthopedic providers on staff and offices across four counties.
