The device was created by USF surgeons and prints a custom 3D model of a patient’s knee or shoulder so physicians can print a custom guide that lines up with the patient’s exact anatomy.

The guide is used in the operating room to line up surgical tools and make sure incisions are as accurate as possible.

USF Health currently holds the patent for the Patient Specific Guide, which is in use nationwide.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
