UofL Health completes 3,000th Mako joint replacement

The University of Louisville (Ky.) Health-Jewish Hospital has completed its 3,000th joint replacement procedure using Mako’s SmartRobotic system, according to a May 12 report from NBC affiliate WAVE.

The hospital is the only location in the region offering the robotic arm for knee and hip replacements. It has used the technology for hip replacements for eight years and knee replacements for six years, the report said.
