Untied Way honors Drs. Sims Riggan and Cathy Riggan: 4 highlights

The United Way of David County board of directors and leadership donors will honor Sims Riggan, MD, and Cathy Riggan, MD, at its Benefactors Reception, according to The Dispatch.

Here are four highlights:

 

1. Dr. Sims Riggan is an orthopedic surgeon at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., and Dr. Cathy Riggan is a pediatrician at Thomasville (N.C.) Pediatrics.

 

2. Dr. Cathy Riggan has served on the Davidson County Board of Health and Davidson County Board of Hospice. In addition, she mentors students seeking medical careers in the community.

 

3. Dr. Sims Riggan has served on the Lexington Medical Center board of directors. He has been serving patients at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for 18 years.

 

4. The United Way Davidson County advocates for health, education and financial stability to community members.
