Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics sports medicine and orthopedic surgeon Paul Fadale, MD, has been honored by the Providence Bruins, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Boston Bruins, after serving as its head team physician for 33 years.

The Providence Bruins have named their athletic training exam room after Dr. Fadale, according to an April 23 press release sent to Becker’s.

Dr. Fadale began working with the team during its inaugural season in 1992.

“This is an incredible honor,” Dr. Fadale said in the release. “To have my name associated with a team and an organization I’ve cared deeply about for so many years is truly humbling. It’s been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated professionals and help support the health and careers of so many outstanding athletes.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
