University of Toledo Medical Center suspends orthopedic chair

Nabil Ebraheim, MD, chair of orthopedics at the University of Toledo (Ohio) Medical Center, was suspended, a spokesperson said Dec. 7.

Dr. Ebraheim was placed on administrative leave with pay Dec. 2, a spokesperson for the university said in an email to Becker’s. An investigation is being conducted.

Although the university’s statement said Dr. Ebraheim remains employed, he won’t be seeing patients while he is on leave, the spokesperson said.
