University of Toledo Medical Center orthopedic chair to retire, investigation ongoing

Dr. Nabil Ebraheim, who was suspended from the University of Toledo (Ohio) Medical Center in December, will retire Jan. 23, the university said in a Jan. 5 email to Becker’s.

Dr. Ebraheim was chair of orthopedics and was placed on administrative leave with pay Dec. 2. He has been employed with the University of Toledo Medical Center since 1985, a spokesperson said.

An investigation into Dr. Ebraheim remains ongoing, the spokesperson said Jan. 5.

Martin Skie, MD, will serve as interim chair of orthopedics at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
