Here are three things to know:
1. In September, the team spent five days at Siquatepeque at La Providencia’s orphanage and clinic, where they performed upper body extremities surgeries for children.
2. The mission trip was part of Madison, Wis.-based Sharing Resources Worldwide, which sends seven different surgical team types to Honduras each year to treat patients.
3. This was Iowa Hospital’s fourth annual mission to provide orthopedic care at the orphanage.
