Rikesh Patel, DO, is Cleveland-based University Hospitals’ new director of robotics for total joint replacement.

Dr. Patel’s specialties include minimally invasive direct superior total hip replacement, muscle-sparing subvastus total knee replacement and partial knee replacement, according to an April 17 news release. He joined University Hospitals in 2020.

In his new role he will lead a program to integrate robotic technology from training surgeons to refining protocols.
