Rikesh Patel, DO, is Cleveland-based University Hospitals’ new director of robotics for total joint replacement.
Dr. Patel’s specialties include minimally invasive direct superior total hip replacement, muscle-sparing subvastus total knee replacement and partial knee replacement, according to an April 17 news release. He joined University Hospitals in 2020.
In his new role he will lead a program to integrate robotic technology from training surgeons to refining protocols.
“I’m focused on bringing cutting-edge technology into the operating room, our goal is to enhance surgical accuracy, reduce recovery times, and improve long-term outcomes for patients,” Dr. Patel said in the release. “It’s about leading a future-focused team committed to transforming joint replacement care.”
