Largo-based University of Maryland Capital Region Health named Marcus Sciadini, MD, medical director of orthopedic trauma and co-chair of orthopedics.
Dr. Sciadini is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in orthopedic traumatology, complex fracture care, post-traumatic reconstruction and pelvis and acetabular surgery, according to a Sept. 25 news release shared with Becker’s.
He is also a professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore and chief of orthopedics at the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus in Baltimore.
He has written more than 150 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Sciadini succeeds Brent Bauer, MD, who departed after six and a half years with the organization, the release said.
