UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Carestream to develop orthopedic imaging system

UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Buffalo, N.Y., and Carestream have entered into a research agreement to develop a new three-dimensional medical imaging system for capturing orthopedic images.

Physicians from UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine will work with Carestream researchers to conduct clinical studies. Initially, the studies will focus on the advantages of using cone beam CT technology in the diagnosis and treatment of knee injuries.
