With the Hurt! application, patients can send photos, videos and messages to orthopedic specialists 24/7 and receive an instant response, according to a June 12 press release from the American Hospital Association.

Orthopedists can then recommend follow-up care with network partners or a visit to the emergency room in urgent situations.

The app can accommodate injuries from tears or pops in the shoulder; elbow or wrist injuries that occur during regular daily movement; and pain and swelling around the knee or ankle after twisting, stepping wrong or falling.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care. Apply for complimentary registration now.
