Orthopedic surgeon Ben Robertson, MD, performed the milestone procedure, Tri-County Health said in a Jan. 21 press release.

“It is really exciting to celebrate our 500th total joint replacement,” Dr. Robertson said. “I am proud to be a part of this team of great people at Tri-County Health Care that have all worked so hard to build this program of excellence in joint replacement. We are privileged to be able to take care of so many great patients, and we will continue to provide the highest level of care.”

Wadena, Minn.-based Tri-County Health said the milestone kicked off a companywide celebration complete with a commemorative logo and branded shirts. The company said it hosted a giveaway contest to coincide with the surgery.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
