U.S. News & World Report released its second annual top ASCs list on March 18, highlighting more than 180 top-performing facilities across spine and orthopedics.
The publication recognized the ASCs as “high performing,” evaluating nearly 5,000 ASCs. It factors in Medicare data to review complications, emergency room visits, unplanned hospitalizations and other undesirable outcomes. View the full methodology here.
Editor’s note: Per the U.S. Census Bureau, the Midwest region includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. South Dakota did not have any ASCs that ranked as high performing.
