Here are seven things to know:
1. The new peer-reviewed publication, JBMR Plus, will focus on the interdisciplinary research field involving endocrinology, orthopedics and rheumatology.
2. JBMR Plus will include original research, reviews, protocols and methods as well as articles in basic, translational and clinical science.
3. Publication topics will touch on bone, musculoskeletal metabolism and regenerative medicine research.
4. Peter Ebeling, AO, MD, MBBS, will serve as editor in chief of the publication. He leads the department of medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
5. Bo Abrahamsen, MD, PhD, of the University of Southern Denmark, and Teresita Bellido, PhD, of Indiana University in Bloomington, will serve as deputy editors.
6. Wiley and ASBMR expect to publish the first issue online in summer 2017.
7. The new journal joins ASBMR’s flagship journal, Journal of Bone and Mineral Research.
