The center will be within TSAOG Orthopaedics’ Ridgewood Orthopaedic Center in San Antonio. It will operate under the Burkhart Research Institute for Orthopaedics nonprofit founded by Stephen Burkhart, MD.
The project also will involve a collaboration with UT Health San Antonio and have a bio skills lab space. The center will house clinical and academic research with the possibility of expanding beyond orthopedics.
The research center is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
