The designation was given in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is based on factors including pre-surgical consultations, surgery, hospital care, rehabilitation and follow-up evaluations.

The Joint Commission visited Covenant for an onsite review to evaluate the hospital’s compliance and standards.

“This was an effort from multiple departments,” Joshua Rollins, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Covenant, told MyPlainview. “[The award is] not only a testament to the quality of our wonderful orthopedics staff, but all members of our surgical team that strive to ensure the best outcomes possible.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
