Texas Health hospitals awarded Joint Commission knee and hip certification

Texas Health in Arlington has three hospitals that received The Joint Commission’s Advanced Certification for total hip and knee replacement.

The three hospitals are Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, Texas Health Hospital Clearfork and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, according to a Nov. 17 news release Texas Health shared with Becker’s.

The Joint Commission certification is issued in partnership with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons for hospitals that demonstrate consistent communication and collaboration on quality patient care. It was created to improve patient outcomes. 

Texas Health provides orthopedic care in North Texas. Its staff of orthopedic surgeons also offer preventive medicine, sports medicine, joint health and wellness services.
