Galveston-based University of Texas Medical Branch has selected Brent Bauer, MD, to serve as chief of orthopedic trauma in its department of orthopedic surgery & rehabilitation beginning in the fall.
Dr. Bauer will join UTMB from the Largo-based University of Maryland Capitol Region Hospitals, where he serves as president of the medical staff and director of orthopedic traumatology, according to a June 22 Linkedin post.
In those roles, he has led clinical operations, program development and physician engagement efforts across the health system.
