Teton Orthopaedics faces patient data breach

Jackson, Wyo.-based Teton Orthopaedics has filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Massachusetts, according to a Jan. 7 press release from JD Supra.

The ransomware attack resulted in an unauthorized party gaining access to patient names, Social Security numbers, financial account information, passport information, addresses, dates of birth, health insurance information, medical information, driver’s license numbers, government ID numbers and payment card information.

After an investigation, Teton confirmed that the unauthorized party accessed its systems  between Jan. 16 and March 25, 2024.
