Mr. Musk revealed the news during Tesla’s earnings call yesterday, although he did not name the orthopedic surgeon overseeing the project or its name. The dubbed “Tesla Clinic” includes physicians and nurses on staff that will provide care to employees who fall ill or become injured.
Large companies have begun providing onsite clinics to keep employees healthy and improve care, according to the report. On the call, Tesla Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety Laurie Shelby said the company has reported “10 percent better” in lost work days and days away over the previous year.
