Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is expanding its presence in communities outside Knoxville, including Loudon County, to provide orthopedic specialty care closer to patients in the state, CBS affiliate WVLT reported Aug. 17.
The Nashville, Tenn.-based organization recently opened a physical therapy site in Loudon to complement its main satellite office in Lenoir City.
Michael Craig, MD, a spine specialist with Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, told WVLT the group is bringing more satellite offices and subspecialty care to surrounding counties as population growth and congestion make traveling into Knoxville more difficult.
Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance has opened several locations over the past year, including its first ASC in Knoxville in October and a Springfield clinic and a Spring Hill campus in July.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
