Tennessee hospital honored for excellence in orthopedic surgery

Franklin, Tenn.-based Williamson Medical Center received a medical excellence award for orthopedic surgery and a patient safety award for its spinal fusion care, Community Impact reported Feb. 7.

The awards from CareChex are based on a scoring system that compares inpatient treatment quality. Williamson Medical Center was ranked in the 10 percent of facilities assessed in major orthopedic surgery and top 10 percent in the nation for spinal fusion safety.

The hospital also ranked in the top 10 percent for cardiology care in the state.
