Medtech company Stryker showcased new advancements across its Mako SmartRobotics portfolio at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ 2025 Annual Meeting in San Diego over March 10-14.
Mako robots are currently used in 45 countries globally, according to a March 11 news release from the manufacturer. Stryker has introduced the new total hip with advanced primary and revision, expanding on its existing total hip application.
The new capabilities will allow for the simplification of hip procedures with Mako’s 3D CT-based planning, available across both primary and revision hip procedures.
Stryker also presented the commercial availability of the fourth-generation Mako System, Mako 4. The system adds additional applications and features across hip, knee and spine applications.
It also integrates Stryker’s fourth-generation Q Guidance System.
