Stryker signed a definitive agreement to acquire ZuriMED, a privately held company that develops technology for rotator cuff repair.
The acquisition will add ZuriMED’s FiberLocker System to Stryker’s shoulder care portfolio, according to an Aug. 31 news release. The technology is used for rotator cuff augmentation.
Stryker said the acquisition will expand its offerings for shoulder specialists across sports medicine and arthroplasty.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Stryker and ZuriMED will continue to operate as separate entities until the transaction closes.
