The hospital received six payments, including four payments for royalties or licensing adding up to $1.6 million. Mass General’s royalty and licensing payments comprised the highest four payments Stryker made to any academic medical center last year.
The company made far smaller payments to other hospitals, including $146,687 to Cleveland Clinic and $144,869 to Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. Stryker also reported making 15 payments to Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, totalling $151,878.16.
Overall, Stryker made $123.9 million in payments, primarily in debt forgiveness or long term medical supply or device loans.
