Stryker earns clearance for bone tumor system

Stryker’s first bone tumor ablation system with microinfusion technology earned FDA clearance, the devicemaker said Sept. 20.

The OptaBlade system is part of Stryker’s interventional spine portfolio and optimizes all aspects of the bone ablation procedure, according to a news release from the company. 

The system is designed for treating two vertebral levels at once, quicker and more consistent ablation, and its microinfusion technology can reduce impedance errors.
