The institute will provide training, rehabilitation and orthopedic services. It will include physicians who focus on sports medicine, pulmonary medicine, cardiopulmonary exercise and orthopedic surgery, including spine surgery and joint replacement.
The institute will be headed by John Lucas IV, MD, who is a part of the Medical Group of the Carolinas and a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
