Dr. Kawtharani will now offer patients the anterior minimally invasive surgery, or AMIS, Bikini procedure, part of Medacta’s surgery platform, according to a Feb. 21 press release.

The technique follows the natural direction of patient muscles, featuring an incision along the so-called “bikini line” at the upper thigh area near the groin. The procedure promises a faster return to activities and shorter rehabilitation, enhanced healing and fewer complications and better aesthetic appearance of replacement scars, according to the release.

Dr. Kawtharani will be the only surgeon between Denver and Kansas City offering AMIS Bikini, according to the release.
