Smith+Nephew names new orthopedics president

Nathan Folkert was named as Smith+Nephew’s new orthopedic president, the medtech company said on May 6.

Mr. Folkert replaces Craig Gaffin who is pursuing a new opportunity, according to a news release. Mr. Folkert will join Smith+Nephew in May and has more than 20 years of experience in orthopedic leadership.

He previously held senior leadership roles with Stryker, Zimmer Biomet and Conmed. Most recently he was CEO of Orchid Orthopedic Solutions.
