Medtech company Smith+Nephew has launched its CORIOGRAPH pre-op planning and modeling services for total shoulder arthroplasty in the U.S.

The software has image-based planning capabilities to allow orthopedic surgeons to design patient-specific shoulder replacement plans, according to an Oct. 1 news release from the company.

Christopher Klifto, MD, a shoulder surgeon at Duke University, recently completed the first procedures utilizing the Coriograph software.

Capabilities of the software include 3D CT-based planning as well as range-of-motion and impingement simulation.

The Coriograph services portfolio also has technologies for knee and hip arthroplasty, the release said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
