Smith+Nephew partners for robotic surgical planning: 3 notes

Smith+Nephew partnered with JointVue for 3D surgery planning, according to an Oct. 10 news release.

Three notes:

1. JointVue’s OrthoSonic technology will be co-marketed with Smith+Nephew’s Cori robot for knee replacements.

2. OrthoSonic is an ultrasound device designed to deliver 3D preoperative planning. 

3. The tool is radiation-free and automates planning for surgeons.
