Shoulder Innovations and Interventional Systems have entered into a strategic partnership to develop a shoulder-specific micro-robot.
The new system aims to improve shoulder surgery precision, enhance workflow efficiencies and enable new clinical approaches to total shoulder arthroplasties and reverse shoulder arthroplasties, according to a Dec. 3 news release from Shoulder Innovations.
Once the robot is developed, it will be integrated into Shoulder Innovations’ ProVoyance Shoulder platform.
The robot is designed as a portable unit to support mobility and ease of implementation, the release said.
