Rutland Regional Medical Center honors Dr. Deborah Henley for humanitarian work

Rutland (Vt.) Regional Medical Center honored Deborah A. Henley, MD, with the 2017 Humanitarian of the Year award, according to the Mountain Times.

Dr. Henley recently participated in a medical mission trip in Guatemala where she worked alongside local physicians and helped build a small family home. She is also soliciting sponsorships to provide schooling and meals for Guatemalan children. Dr. Henley focuses her practice on fracture care and reconstruction of the foot and ankle.

 

Throughout her career, she has served on the medical staff for the New York City Marathon and trained with the Harkness Dance Clinic in New York City. She attended medical School at SUNY and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
