Here are three things to know:

1. The initiative’s editorial board has identified several key areas for education:

  • Infection prevention and management
  • Fixation optimization
  • Patient involvement in preventing revision surgery
  • New frontiers in TJA
  • Improving economics

2. Led by Javad Parvizi, MD, the five-member board is comprised entirely of TJA specialists.

3. The initiative is sponsored by Heraeus Medical, the manufacturer and supplier of the Palacos bone cement portfolio.
