Raleigh (N.C.) Orthopaedic joined the North Carolina State Health Plan’s Lantern Care Program, a value-based surgical benefit for certain nonemergent procedures.

The program connects eligible state employees and their families with participating surgical providers and care teams focused on improving clinical outcomes, patient experience and care affordability, according to a May 13 news release. Members may qualify for reduced out-of-pocket costs, including $0 financial responsibility for approved surgical episodes when using participating Lantern providers and meeting plan requirements.

Raleigh Orthopaedic operates six clinic locations and provides care for spine, joint, bone and musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, fractures and degenerative conditions.

The practice also operates two outpatient surgery centers and offers integrated physical therapy and rehabilitation services.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery. Apply for complimentary registration now.
