PVH Orthopedics named center of excellence by The Joint Commission

Keyser, W.Va.-based Potomac Valley Hospital has been recognized as a center of excellence for orthopedic care by The Joint Commission, according to a Dec. 28 report from the Mineral News and Tribune.

The PVH orthopedic department is led by Hamed Vahedikafshgari, MD, and Sherif Dabash, MD, who provide a full range of orthopedic services, including knee, hip and shoulder replacements, rotator cuff repair, hand surgeries, ACL reconstruction and treatment of sports injuries. 

The Joint Commission reviews facilities based on standards in quality and safety that incorporate measures from CMS and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
