Pixie Medical’s Knee+ NexSight has received the European Union’s CE Mark, according to a March 24 news release from the company.
The augmented reality guide for total knee arthroplasty does not require a robot, a dedicated console or single-use disposables.
The instrumentation is compatible with most primary knee implants and supports personalized alignment strategies.
The system has been used by six surgeons in France and Belgium to complete more than 20 procedures.
The FDA is currently reviewing the company’s submission for 510(k) approval, the release said.
