Student-athletes from the university’s 21 sports programs will be provided with specialized sports medicine and comprehensive healthcare services from Piedmont, according to a Feb. 21 news release from the university.
Piedmont also has physicians and clinical staff on the sidelines during matches to treat any in-game injuries.
The partnership began in 2016 and will run through 2033 with the extension.
Piedmont is Georgia’s largest healthcare organization,serving 80 percent of the state with more than 1,600 locations, the release said.
