The addition of Motion Orthopaedics, a 10-physician group, brings the number of physicians at Orthopedic Care Partners to more than 70, according to an April 4 news release.
The partnership will help “accelerate our growth and extend our existing track record of serving patients in the St. Louis area with world-class orthopedic expertise, innovative procedures and modern technology,” said David King, MD, of Motion Orthopaedics.
Orthopedic Care Partners’ affiliate practices also include The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., and The Orthopaedic Institute in Gainesville. In July, the orthopedic platform added Tucson (Ariz.) Orthopaedic Institute, a 33-physician group.
The platform is backed by Varsity Healthcare Partners, which also has a gastroenterology group, Denver-based Gastro Care Partners.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
