Here are 14 orthopedic surgeons who joined new practices or added to their titles in September:

Morrisville, Vt.-based Copley Hospital broke ground on its Mansfield Orthopedics Waterbury (Vt.) medical office building. 

Statesville, N.C.-based Piedmont Bone and Joint has added Travis Eason, MD, to its team of orthopedic surgeons. 

Hendersonville, N.C.-based UNC Health Pardee has added four new physicians to Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, including Hubert Gooch, MD; James Hoski, MD; Mark Moody, MD; and Marshall Ney, MD. 

Christopher Proctor, MD, joined Lazurite's medical advisory board, the medtech company said Oct. 4.

A new startup at Tucson-based University of Arizona is setting out to solve challenges that orthopedic surgeons face when it comes to extracting hardware. 

Christopher Meyer, MD, is the new president of Edina, Minn.-based Twin Cities Orthopedics, the practice said Oct. 2.
