The suture anchors are the third Ossiofiber product to receive clearance in the last four months, according to a March 29 news release. They’re designed for fixation of soft tissue to bone in the shoulder, foot and ankle, knee and hand and wrist. A U.S. launch is planned for the second quarter of 2022.
Two other products, the Ossiofiber compression staples and Ossiofiber 3.5-millimeter compression screws, were cleared in January and December, respectively. Both are expected to launch in the third quarter of 2022.
