OrthoVirginia surgeon joins orthotics company’s board of directors

Orthopedic surgeon Mark Jones, MD, was appointed in September to the board of directors of Hanger Inc., a provider of orthotic and prosthetic products.

Three things to know:

1. Dr. Jones is chief of orthopedic surgery at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Va. His addition increases the number of board members to 10.

2. He is a joint replacement specialist who has practiced at Richmond-based OrthoVirginia since 1995.

3. Dr. Jones will bring valuable clinical experience to the company and help develop its value-based care strategy, CEO Vinit Asar said.
