Pixee Medical, an orthopedic, surgery-focused, augmented-reality technology company, has earned FDA clearance for its Knee+ NexSight AR guidance system for total knee arthroplasty.

The technology is expected to be specifically marketed to ASCs, according to an April 22 news release.

The Knee+ system is compatible with Pixee’s existing platform, which has seen more than 10,000 successful procedures performed worldwide, according to the news release.

The system also offers surgeons wearable technology to guide intraoperative decision-making and improve accuracy and reliability.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
