Orthopedic surgeons among specialists with happiest marriages

Around 85% of orthopedic surgeons report feeling happy in their marriages, describing them as either “good” or “very good,” according to Medscape’s 2024 “Lifestyle and Happiness Report,” published Feb. 13.

This year, nine specialties reached or topped 85%. Orthopedic surgeons are tied for happy marriages with general surgeons. 

They come in behind pulmonary medicine specialists (91%), otolaryngologists (90%), endocrinologists (90%), ophthalmologists (89%), gastroenterologists (87%), neurologists (86%) and cardiologists (86%).
