Dr. McInerney is the assistant dean, professor and chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery, director of sports medicine and team physician at Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences in Newark, N.J.
He earned his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He underwent his residency at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. He completed his sports medicine fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
