Dr. Coon pioneered minimally invasive knee replacement surgery in the U.S. and helped develop highly specialized instruments for the procedure. He performed more than 8,000 total and partial replacement surgeries
throughout his career.
An Ohio native, Dr. Coon attended medical school at The Ohio State University in Columbus and completed internship and residency programs at the Toledo-based Medical College of Ohio Hospital.
